What Is Genjutsu AI? Motion Transfer and Photo Templates Explained
Genjutsu started as a Higgsfield feature for editing existing video. Here is how motion transfer differs from photo templates, and which one to use.
"Genjutsu AI" usually refers to AI video tools that put a new person or look into a motion clip. Higgsfield has a product called Genjutsu, and several independent sites use the name too. This site, Genjutsu AI at genjutsuai.studio, is one of those independent tools and isn't affiliated with Higgsfield.
Two ways to get the effect
Motion transfer from your own video. You upload a clip plus reference images, and the model keeps the motion while changing the person or look. Higgsfield's Genjutsu page asks for a source video of 4 to 30 seconds. This gives you the most control, and it needs a clip you have the right to use.
Preset templates from a photo. You pick a clip that's already made and add your photo. This is what we do. It takes less effort, but you can only choose from the templates on offer.
How to choose
| You have | You want | Use |
|---|---|---|
| A photo only | A finished clip with no prompt | A photo template tool |
| A specific video | That exact motion on a new person | A motion transfer tool |

Use it responsibly
Only use photos you have the right to use, of adults who agreed. Don't impersonate or defame anyone, and label videos as AI-generated where that's required. Our acceptable use policy has the full rules.
